Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered problems to water supplies, according to city officials.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, as reported by area administrators.

Russian forces has increased assaults on energy facilities over recent weeks, while officials has requested "real steps" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen rockets attacked the country's power systems, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to identify.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the country's energy grid, with strikes already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were bracing for additional strikes.
